| Question type | How students answer |
|---|---|
| Single choice | Pick one correct answer. |
| Multiple choice | Pick every correct answer. |
| True / False | Pick True or False. |
| Short answer | Type the answer. You can accept more than one spelling, for example color and colour. |
| Fill in the blank | Type the missing words. Add one accepted answer per blank, in order. |
| Matching | Match each prompt on the left to the right answer. |
| Sorting / Ordering | Put items in the right order. You type them in the correct order; students see them shuffled. |

Quiz settings #
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Passing score (%) | The score a student needs to pass, for example 70. |
| Max attempts | How many times a student can take the quiz. 0 means unlimited. |
| Show quiz | When the quiz appears: after completing a lesson, a section or the whole course — or Don’t show automatically. |
Click Save settings. Then go back to the Quizzes tab and click Publish — students cannot see a quiz while it is a draft.
Attach a quiz to a lesson or section #
On the Lessons tab, open the ⋮ menu of a lesson or section and choose Add quiz. Pick the quiz from the list. Students then see “This lesson has a quiz” with a Take quiz button.
To take it off again, click Remove next to the quiz.
